NC Home Inspector License – Pass the Exam
NC Home Inspector Licensing Information:
The State of North Carolina requires home inspectors be licensed by the NC Home Inspector Licensure Board. Licensed NC General Contractors, who have had their license 6 months or more may be eligible to apply for their NC Home Inspector License.
Application:
Home Inspector applicants can access application forms online at the Board’s website (info. below). Approval is required prior to exam registration.
Testing:
Approved applicants must pass a qualifying examination for license with a minimum score of 70%.
Home Inspector Exam
- 200 questions, 4 hours, closed book, 140 correct (70%) to pass.
