2014 NC Home Inspector Exam Schedule Released

The NC DOI has release their 2014 Home Inspector Exam Calendar. The first available exam in 2014 will be on February 6th. Please note that the application deadline for the February exam is December 20, 2013. If your application is approved you will have until January 10th to register for the February exam. Exams are administered 6 times per year; subsequent exam dates for the remainder of 2014 are April 17th, June 12th, August 7th, October 16th and December 11th. If you fail your exam there is a 6 month waiting period to retest, for this reason we highly recommend an exam prep course prior to taking your test. We normally schedule our NC Home Inspector Exam prep seminars 5-10 days prior to an exam date in order to give you adequate time to review the information before the exam. Study materials do ship when you register for a seminar, so you can begin studying right away. It is also important to note, that if you are a licensed NC General Contractor who has retained an active license for at least the previous 6 months you meet the equivalent experience requirement to take the test.
